With hundreds of gaming mice on the market, mostly catering to average size hands, it’s tough to find a reliable small gaming mouse. Being small isn’t exactly a feature gaming companies advertise, so you have to do your research to find which mice are truly small enough for your hands. In this post, we’ll review and discuss the best gaming mice for small hands.

There are a few reasons you might need a small gaming mouse. Most obviously, you might have smaller than average hands, so a smaller mouse is simply more comfortable to use. Or if you’re a woman, you have smaller hands in general. I think it’s fair to say that most gaming mice are designed for men, so the average gaming mouse is a bit too large for a woman’s hands.

Young kids will also benefit from using a smaller gaming mouse. It seems everyday more young people are getting into PC gaming, and the need for small gaming mice grows.

Besides just fitting your hand better, there are other benefits to using a properly sized gaming mouse. You might find that you can have longer gaming sessions because your hand is more comfortable. You may also discover that the mouse is easier to use and move across your desk because it’s lighter. These are just some of the reasons you should get a small gaming mouse if you have small hands.

It can be difficult to find a mouse small enough for your hands, especially if you don’t know what to look for. Many manufactures don’t put “small” in the name of their mice, so they’re not easy to find. Typically, you have to look at the published dimensions to see if the mouse is small or large. We’ve done just that, and published them on this page for you.

With an 8,500 DPI optical sensor, the mouse is going to be fast and precise. Add in the drag-free cord, and you achieve wireless like performance. Razer’s SpeedFlex cable eliminates the need for accessories like mouse bungees, and drastically reduces weight and drag.

Razer Chroma RGB is Razer’s RGB lighting system for PC. The logo glows, along with the underside of the mouse. There are a total of 16.8 million color combinations, and included preset profiles for easy customization.

Besides being small, the Razer Viper Mini is ultra-light. It’s Razer’s lightest mouse ever created. Weighing in at only 61g, this mouse will move effortlessly across your mouse pad. This light weight compliments the size well. It’s also ambidextrous so you can use it comfortably whether you’re left or right handed.

Razer Viper Mini Ultralight Summary

Dimensions: ‎1.5 x 2.4 x 4.5 inches

Coming in as the second smallest gaming mouse on our list, it’s only 2.4 inches wide, and 4.5 inches long. At this size it should easily accommodate small hands.

The 8,000 DPI optical sensor on this mouse is precise, and gaming-grade. It’s a tiny bit low compared to other gaming mice, but the vast majority of people won’t use a sensitivity that’s more than 8,000 DPI. You can easily customize the DPI with Logitech’s G Hub gaming software to get the sensitivity just how you want it.

The Lightsync RGB feature features vibrant lighting, and color wave effects that you can customize. This is also controllable through the Logitech G Hub software. You can even make your own your effects, or use the built-in audio visualization and screen mapping options for some sweet synchronization.

As far as durability goes, the primary buttons are mechanical, and tensioned with metal springs. This improves reliability, performance, and provides excellent tactile feedback. The clicks feel crisp and precise which is important for the overall feel of the mouse.

Logitech G203 Hero Lightsync Summary

This mouse is perfect for any gamer looking for a reliable small gaming mouse from a good brand. Kids especially will appreciate the customizable RGB lighting, and overall size. It’s also priced extremely well, so you’re getting a great value.

Dimensions: ‎1.5 x 2.45 x 4.6 inches

The Logitech G305 Lightspeed is barely bigger than the two mice above. In fact, if you were to put them side by side, this mouse would just appear a bit wider. Even at 2.45 inches wide, it’s still considered a small gaming mouse.

This mouse sports a very capable optical sensor. Logitech calls it their next-generation HERO sensor. It delivers exceptional performance, accuracy, and responsiveness. It goes up to 12,000 DPI, and has 10x the power efficiency over previous generations. That power efficiency is important because this mouse is wireless.

Speaking of wireless, the Logitech G305 Lightspeed boasts a whopping 250 hours of continuous gameplay. All it takes is a single AA battery. Having a battery does make this mouse a little heavier though. It weighs in at 99 grams. While still impressive, it’s not as light as some of the other small mice on this list.

Unfortunately, you don’t get any RGB lighting with this mouse. While it’s certainly not a deal breaker for me, I know it will be a deal breaker for some. Personally, I prefer a cleaner look, but this is a gaming mouse we’re talking about. This might make it less appealing to kids or teens.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed Summary

As the only wireless mouse on our list, and for a great price, you can’t go wrong with this mouse. It’s a great size for small hands, has an amazing optical sensor, and offers incredible battery life. If you’re looking for a wireless mouse for small hands, this is probably your best choice.

That said, it’s still small compared to most gaming mice on the market.

The SteelSeries Rival 3 has true 1-to-1 tracking in a lightweight optical sensor. They call it TrueMove. It was designed specifically for this mouse. It has an adjustable CPI from 200 to 8,500 depending on your sensitivity needs. Additionally, it has an impressive 300 IPS. That means the mouse tracks reliably at a speed of 25 feet per second.

At 4.88 inches long, it’s probably a bit too big for most kids hands, but fine for adults with smaller hands. That said, I don’t think most kids would complain if they had this mouse.

With a Pixart 3335 sensor, you get a nice balance between weight and performance. And clocking in at 16,000 DPI, you get super fast, accurate, responsive tracking.
